Oatmeal Waffles

Ingredients

 
  • 11/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 11/2 cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

 

Mix flour, oatmeal, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.  In another bowl, stir together eggs, milk, butter and brown sugar.  Add to flour mixture.  Mix well and bake in waffle iron on medium setting until brown.  

Note:  Leftover waffles may be frozen and reheated in the toaster.
